Junior lefty Olivia Stefanoni scattered five hits and drove a double to the left field fence sending classmate Sadie Mrakuzic home with the winning run to complete the doubleheader sweep for Hudson.

The Explorers got seven hits from six different players including a pair from Stefanoni to improve to 9-0 on the season. Freshmen Laurel Gomersal and Katie Carrillo had a triple and a double respectively for Hudson.
Berquist had a pair of hits and scored both runs for the Ren Devils.
The win was Stefanoni’s fifth on the season.
Hudson took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Katie Carrillo doubled and rode home on a Maddie Roukey single.
In the Hudson fourth Stefanoni reached on an error and was replaced by courtesy runner Aubrey Hill. With one out Senior Cami Madar hit a liner to short that was too hot to handle and was safe at first with Hill advancing to third. Madar rounded first and got into a run down that allowed Hill to score and give the Explorers a 2-0 lead.
Crestwood got on the board in the fifth when Berquist walked, stole second and moved to third when the throw to second sailed into center field and scored on a wild pitch.
In the Crestwood seventh Berquist singled with two outs and went to third on a pickoff attempt that went down the right field line and scored on a single by Toke to tie the game at 2-2.
Gomersal tripled to start the seventh. Mrakuzic grounded to the pitcher but was safe at first when they looked Gomersal back to third. The Red Devils elected to intentionally walk Carrillo to load the bases with one out.
Roukey hit a sharp grounder to short and Gomersal was forced at the plate for the second out of the inning.
With a 2-1 count Stefanoni laced a double over Toke’s head in left and Mrakuzic scampered home with the game winner.
