Varsity Gymnastics · Gymnastics finishes Runner Up at Sectional Meet; Advances to District

The gymnastics team turned in a strong performance at the Sectional Meet at Summit County Fairgrounds over the weekend, as they finished second in the 24-team field, and punched their ticket to the District Meet next weekend!
The girls took home first place on bars, with a team score of 36.050 and finished in second place on vault, floor, and beam. Ava Guistino finished in 5th place in the all-around competition with a combined score o 35.775. Laurel Gomersal finished in 7th in the all-around with a score of 35.475. Lindsey Havens was close behind her teammate, finishing 8th in the all-around, with a score of 35.250. Lydia Redd took home 14th in all-around with a score of 34.450. Claire Wilcox finished in 3rd place on bars, with a score of 9.150, while Redd finished in 5th. Guistino and Havnes finished 8th and 9th on bars, respectively. Havens finished 8th on beam with a score of 9.250, while Guistino finished 11th. Guistino finished in 6th place on floor, while Alyssa Bezdek finished T13 with a score of 8.625. Gomersal, Guistino, and Havens went 6th, 7th, 8th on vault, while Wilcox and Redd finished 14th and 15th, respectively.
Along with the team qualifying for the District Meet, the following Explorers also qualified as individual competitors in each of the events listed below:
