Boys Varsity Track & Field · Boys Track and Field falls to Wadsworth in Dual Meet


The boys track and field team opened the season in dual meet action at Wadsworth over spring break. Grady Zappone turned in a great performance as he finished in first place in both the 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles, with times of 17.8 and 43.6, respectively.
Tyler Miller finished the high jump in second place, with a mark of 6’0″, while Xander Cosentino finished runner-up in the long jump with a mark of 17’7″. Gianni Weaver finished in second place in the pole vault, while Chris Slater finished second in both the shot put and discus. Keiran Anderson took home second place in the 110 hurdles, and Matt Good finished second in the 1600 with a time of 4:55. Grant Putnam finished in second place in the 300 Hurdles, and Titan Casey was the second place finished in the 800 with a time of 2:03.
Xander Cosentino finished in third in the high jump while Andrew Church finished in third in the long jump. Colin Pierce finished the 100m with a time of 11.8 and a third place finish. Titan Casey ran the 3200 in a time of 10:40, good for a third place finish.
The boys are back in action Wednesday as they travel to Brecksville-Broadview Hts. to take on the Bees.
