The boys cross country team continued their amazing 2020 campaign on Saturday afternoon, as they added a Regional Championship to their resume! The Explorers bested the 24-team field to punch their ticket to the State Cross Country Meet! Elliot Durkee paced the Explorers, coming home in 12th overall with a time of 17:08. Titan Casey turned in a great race, with a time of 17:22, finishing 26th overall. Kyle Betz was justed behind his teammate, in 29th, with a time of 17:24. Jack Root took home 34th place with a time of 17:32, while Gabe Shale crossed the finish line in 38th place, and gave the Explorers 5 runners in the top 38 places. Drew Hartline finished with a time of 18:19 while Daniel Bell clocked in at 18:24 to round out the Explorer attack.
The boys will return to Columbus for the State Meet on Saturday as they look to battle against the top runners in the state! The race is scheduled to begin at 3pm at Fortress Obetz Sports Complex in Columbus.
