Multiple Teams · Hudson Athletics – COVID-19 Impact

Good Afternoon,

Our top priority will always be the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community members.  As we continue to learn more about the COVID-19 virus, we will amend, adjust, and react accordingly, as it pertains to athletic programming.

As of 2:30 pm on Thursday March 12, spring sport team practices are still permitted.  We have shared universal healthcare and safety precautions with our head coaches, and ask that our athletes be vigilant in following these processes.

In accordance with both the order of Governor DeWine and our Superintendent, Mr. Herman, to reduce the possibility of community spread, the following scheduled athletic events have been postponed:

March 14 – Girls Lacrosse Scrimmage vs Walsh

March 18 – Winter Sports Award Banquet – along with all other subsequent winter spot banquets that have yet to occur, including swimming, wrestling, gymnastics, cheerleading, and bowling.

March 21 – Girls Lacrosse Scrimmage Play Day in New York

April 3/4 – Boys Lacrosse Trip to PA, against Kiski School & Shady Side Academy

Additionally, the Hudson Athletic Booster Club has rescheduled the April 4 Night at the Races Fundraiser for May 1.

We also encourage athletes and families to contact head coaches directly, as they can provide the most up-to-date changes and announcements specific to their individual team schedules.

As new information becomes available, we will continue to keep our families informed.  As always, we appreciate your support and understanding as we work together through challenging times.

Sincerely,

Mike Chuppa
